Ingram Financial works with local professionals who want a mortgage broker they can confidently refer their clients to. If you’re an accountant, financial planner, real estate agent, lawyer or conveyancer, this page explains how we work with mortgage broker referral partners and what your clients can expect from us.

We work closely with a range of professionals who share our commitment to looking after their clients’ financial wellbeing. Our clients span first home buyers through to experienced property investors, and when they need finance, we make sure they’re looked after with the same care you’d expect for your own clients.
Mortgage Broker Referral Partners We Work With
Accountants
Accountants often see a client’s finance needs first: a business owner ready to buy, an investor restructuring, or a self-employed client who has been told their income is hard to lend against. We help by matching the way the client earns to lenders whose policies may suit, including self-employed home loans, business loans and investment loans. We’ll ask you for financials in the format lenders want, and tax and structuring advice stays with you.
Financial Planners
Planners help clients set goals; lending is often part of putting the plan in place. Typical needs include refinancing to a sharper structure, reducing debt, funding an investment property or reviewing a loan ahead of retirement. We handle the lending side and keep it consistent with the strategy you have set. See our refinancing and SMSF loans pages for examples.
Real Estate Agents
Agents need buyers who are ready to act and sales that settle on time. We help buyers get pre-approval before they make offers, support sellers who are buying their next home, and arrange bridging finance where a client needs to buy before they sell. With the client’s permission, we keep you updated on progress so there are fewer surprises near the finance date.
Lawyers and Conveyancers
Settlement dates, finance clauses and loan documents all need to line up. Lawyers and conveyancers also see clients through property settlements after separation, estate matters and construction contracts, where refinancing or a new loan is often needed. We work to the contract timeline, flag issues early and keep you informed as approval and settlement documents come through.
How the Referral Process Works
Whichever profession you’re in, the process for our mortgage broker referral partners is the same, and it is built around your client relationship:
- Warm introduction. You introduce the client, or pass on their details with their consent, and we make contact promptly.
- Clear communication. We explain the options, the documents needed and the likely timeline in plain English.
- Your client stays yours. We look after the lending only. We won’t offer tax, legal, planning or real estate advice.
- Timely updates. With the client’s permission, we let you know about key milestones such as submission, approval and settlement.
- No pressure. If a loan isn’t right for the client right now, we’ll say so and explain what would need to change.
Why Partner With a Sutherland Shire Mortgage Broker
Ingram Financial is based in Bangor, NSW. Because we live and work in the Sutherland Shire, we know the local market, from apartments in Miranda and Caringbah to family homes in Menai, Engadine and Heathcote. Visit our Sutherland Shire mortgage broker page for more.
That said, many of our mortgage broker referral partners have clients outside the area. We also help clients across Australia by phone and video, so interstate clients get the same process and the same updates.
Shannon Ingram, our principal broker, began his finance career at ANZ in 2002 and spent six years as a broker with Smartline, then ran a multi-site retail business for eight years. As a result, he understands both lending and the pressures on small-business owners. Read more about us.
Professional Standards
Your reputation is attached to every referral you make, so our standards matter:
- Shannon is MFAA-accredited and follows the association’s code of practice.
- As mortgage brokers, we are required to act in our clients’ best interests when recommending a loan.
- Your client will receive our Credit Guide, which explains how we’re paid, before we start working together.
- Ingram Financial Pty Ltd is an Authorised Credit Representative (CRN 457362) of LMG Broker Services Pty Ltd, Australian Credit Licence 517192.

Moving Home? Compare Energy Plans
Separately from our lending, we offer clients who are moving house a simple way to compare energy plans by uploading a recent bill. It is a third-party service and not part of our referral partnerships. Compare energy plans when you move home.
